About Me
April Bird has been doing art her entire life. She grew up sitting in on the Saturday morning drawing lessons her father taught in their garage in Southern California. She loved to go to work with her father and to watch as he did graphic design work and loved to come up with her own designs on paper and on the computer.  She knew then that art would be a part of her life. Art went with April wherever she was - when she toured Europe right out of high school, when she lived in Paraguay for eleven months, when she went to college and gained her BFA in Illustration at BYU, and when she got married and started a family of her own.  She is thrilled to be making a living doing what she loves, art!

April spent her childhood years in sunny California where she loved going to the beach and Disneyland often. Her family moved to Orem, Utah where she finished high school and college. She married an equally artistically talented, Richard Bird, and they currently live in Payson, Utah with their two children, Jace and Tate. She loves playing and teaching the piano, reading, playing board games, cuddling up in a warm blanket and watching a good chick-flick, and doing crafty things.
